Mountain View Motel - Taupo

The beds were comfortable and warm.

The room had no sink for the kitchen area, forcing us to use the bathroom wash basin for washing dishes. The bathroom needed extensive redecorating due to damage from a flood, quite off-putting. There was a lack of basic amenities, leaving me feeling dissatisfied and uncomfortable throughout my stay.

I have just returned from a very enjoyable stay in this miniature hotel, well-equipped and great-sized rooms. It has absolutely perfect and magnificent location in Taupo just next door to restaurants in Taupo, the shopping area and restraunts and the centre of town. Also, it's at a walking distance from Maori Rock Carvings.

The room was well-equipped and great-sized with cooking facilities £ 107.

Cathy was such a chommie. The room was nice and spacious, perfect for chilling out after a day of exploring. Plus, the hot water for showers was a blessing after being out and about!

The shower could be a bit tricky to get in and out of, especially for older folks. Eina!

Small kitchen with no sink, seriously? And let's not forget the charming lack of privacy with the bathroom walls not going to the ceiling, a true thrill. I nearly considered writing a glowing review but was sorely disappointed by the complete disregard for my comfort. A complimentary gesture would've been expected for such inconveniences.

We had a warm welcome to the Motel. Our room was really good value for money and spotlessly clean. I would stay here again and recommend it to others. The location is good, two blocks away from the lake front and 3 minutes walk from the town centre/shops/restaurants. Free on site parking too.

The location is perfect, walking distance to all the fun stuff and the unit was way bigger than i thought. The staff were super nice and helped us find our way to the beach. The views were pretty cool from the upper floors. Really comfy setup for just chilling out after a long day.

The friendly and very helpful staff. We felt comfortable asking for additional things. Treated as if they were interested in us. Unit was comfortable.

Quiet location, handy to town.

I really enjoyed my stay here, especially the stunning views from the balcony and the cozy setup in the one-bedroom apartment. To unwind, I took advantage of the sunny outdoor patio and the BBQ facilities, which were a nice touch. The bathroom could have used a deeper cleaning, but it didn’t ruin my overall experience. I’d definitely recommend it for a chill getaway! 😊

It was just a strong match for resting at all in Taupo with best value for money ratio. The very uncomfortable couch in the lounge really stood out, making it hard to relax. Bring your own snacks since you won't find much in the kitchen.
